Our Umpire Coordinator this year is Eve Smith and she is looking forward to working with you all.

For those of you who don’t already umpire for our club, if any of you or your children are interested in umpiring this year please let us know. For our umpires, we expect they have at least a couple of years experience playing netball and that children wishing to umpire are at least turning 13 this year. We are very keen to get more adults involved in umpiring too, particularly for the younger age groups, so even if you don’t need the pocket money please let us know if you would like to help us out.

FYI the North Canberra Netball Competition Rules state that all umpires should have completed the Rules of Netball Theory examination before they start umpiring. More information can be found here: https://netball.com.au/umpiring-accreditation

The Rules of Netball Theory exam costs $12.50 to complete, however that is more than offset by the $15 per game that we pay our umpires. There are also other training sessions provided by our association that you will need to attend. We will advise details once dates have been confirmed.

All EGNC umpires should be dressed in white or wear a white shirt/jacket/jumper over the EGNC playing uniform whilst umpiring.
